MAJOR RUPTURE IN ONE OF THE VALVES ON 500MM TAKEOFF FROM THE 900MM DIAMETER PIPE IN THE VICINITY OF CLUB 2000 AND PHUTANANG

Repair work on the flow meter flange adopter remains in progress and should be completed into the evening of today, 30 Nov 2023 at about 22h00.

It has since been established that the rupture has not affected the main supply line to the Newton Reservoirs.

The residential areas that are affected are; Phutanang, Ipeleng, Club 2000 and Phomolong.

Water tankering has been effected for relief supply in the stated areas.

We would like to assure residents that all efforts are being undertaken to meet tonight’s deadline.
