PUBLIC NOTICE – UPDATE, MONDAY. 27 NOV 2023, 15:30: WATER SUPPLY & NIGHTLY INTERRUPTIONS

The Sol Plaatje Municipality wishes to inform all residents that water supply will be restored between 16h00 and 19h00 today.

Nightly Water Interruption

The Nightly Water Interruption will come into effect earlier and carry on until 05h00. This measure is being undertaken to allow our dams at Newton Reservoirs to fill up and reach supply normality.

We wish to apologise for the earlier water outage that resulted from a drop in production at Riverton Waterworks.

Water Tankering

Water tankering remains in force and residents are encouraged to call ward based councillors and coordinators. Areas that have been experiencing a lack of water supply and severe low pressure are to be prioritised. Some of the listed areas are Kimberley CBD, Belgravia, Minerva Gardens, Royldene and others.

We wish to assure residents that all efforts are being undertaken to stabilise water supply soonest.

We apologise for the inconvenience and hardships caused. We are pleading for your patience and cooperation.
